Temporary Freelance AssignmentHelp to build a leading homebuilders website.
Our client is a respected home builder based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and they're seeking an experienced UI Designer to complete the design of their new website.Around half of the site has already been designed, with the brand fully developed and supported by a detailed brand toolkit.The site is built from a system of reusable slices/components in Figma, with existing prototypes and guidance from a senior UI designer.While many components are already in place, this assignment will require the designer to create 7–10 new pages from scratch within the established brand system, as well as potentially creating new components when required.The successful candidate must have a proven track record in component-based UI design, strong Figma expertise, and be able to interpret briefs quickly and implement pixel-perfect UI without heavy direction.
They must demonstrate experience in rolling out complex Figma component libraries and ensuring scalable, responsive design.This assignment is remote although you do need to be an Australian resident or have Australian working rights to be shortlisted for this opportunity.Key Responsibilities:Design the remaining 7–10 pages of the website in Figma, aligned with established brand and design system.Create new components as required while maintaining consistency and scalability.Translate written briefs into design solutions with minimal back-and-forth.Ensure responsive, user-centred design principles are applied.Collaborate closely with the senior UI designer and development team to ensure smooth handover.Present and walk through complex Figma files to stakeholders as required.Skills & Experience Required:Expert-level Figma skills (including component libraries, prototyping, and scalable systems).
Solid experience designing component-based websites from the ground up.Ability to create pixel-perfect, responsive UI aligned with brand guidelines.Confidence in working independently while meeting tight deadlines.Availability for 3–5 days a week over a focused 8-week period (starting mid-October).
