As a Operations Manager, you will lead a team of professionals to achieve excellence in safety, quality, attendance, and performance.
You will be responsible for providing your team with the necessary tools for success while driving improvements in productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving.
The operations workflow consists of three major components: First mile, where products are housed and ready for order; Middle mile, where orders are hauled to the area; and Last mile, when products are delivered to customers' doors.
Main Responsibilities
* Support and Motivate: Provide guidance and motivation to salaried and hourly workforce members.
* Lead Large-Scope Projects: Manage projects that have a significant impact on site and regional operations.
* Build Productivity Plans: Create plans to improve productivity through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other leaders to load balance.
* Manage Safety and Quality: Ensure safe working conditions and high-quality products.
* Collaborate with Support Teams: Work with teams like Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in employee and performance management.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or at least 2 years of Amazon experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
