About the Role:
The office of the Government Chief Information and
Digital Officer is looking for a Senior Strategy Advisor to join our
high performing team. The successful applicant will play a critical role in
delivering high impact strategic projects to make digital deliver for everyone,
and supporting strategic decision making.
They will leads the development, implementation and
evaluation of a range of complex policy and operational projects to identify
strategic solutions for engagement, communications, advice and reports to
support the department and team in achieving its objectives.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
* Provide expert policy and specialist advice and information to relevant stakeholders to facilitate the appropriate interpretation and implementation of policies and support department and government policy and program initiatives.
* Build and maintain relationships with relevant key stakeholders, facilitating their engagement in, and contribution to, the identification and development of solutions and to inform decision-making on government policies and programs.
* Conduct in depth research, analysis on complex policy issues, identifying emerging trends and developing evidence-based recommendations to mitigate risks, resolve problems and enhance policy effectiveness.
* Mentor, guide and support team members and other officers across the department, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver policy priorities and initiatives.
* Prepare correspondence, written reports, publications, and briefs, that are informative and aligned with necessary requirements, to respond to department and government requests.
* Stay abreast of current policy trends, insights, and relevant legislation to maintain a comprehensive understanding of policy issues and developments within the strata and property services and related sectors.
* Lead and support on projects that translate policy reform initiatives into regulatory practice within the Department, ensuring alignment with Ministerial priorities.
* Foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the team, contributing to the development of best practices, tools, and resources to build internal expertise and capability.
* Contribute to the development of, and monitor, implement
and evaluate administrative practices, systems and procedures to optimise
efficiency and support the achievement of quality outcomes
This role provides indirect support to all 7 business
units across Digital, and cross-agency initiatives. The right candidate will be
comfortable navigating through ambiguity to provide clear and well informed
advice, and thrive in a fast paced,
high-volume environment, where working collaboratively is critical to success.

Key challenges:
* Delivering relevant initiatives to the required standards and timeframes, given the need to rapidly understand and integrate information and adapt in an often changing, unpredictable and multi-disciplinary environment.
* Maintaining an integrated view of Department activity and other developments in associated issues while exercising sound judgement, discretion, and appreciation of highly contentious and confidential matters in a highly sensitive environment.
* Liaising and consulting effectively with stakeholders on complex and sensitive issues while working to tight timeframes in a fast paced, confidential, and high-volume environment.
About You:
To be successful in the role you will have:
* Demonstrated experience providing
high quality strategy advice and support to executive level audiences, and
decision making.
* Demonstrated experience leading
the end-to-end delivery of strategy and policy projects (i.e. project
scoping, delivery, execution)
* Demonstrated experience conducting
analysis, research, benchmarking an jurisdictional scans to develop
informed recommendations and advice
* A background in policy advisory,
consulting or professional services, on digital transformation topics
* Demonstrated experience operating
in complex stakeholder environments and excellent skills in stakeholder
engagement, negotiation and customer service
* Understanding of the NSW
Government digital context and operating environment.

* Flexible and adaptable, able to operate in a high-paced, high-volume environment
* Highly organised with an ability to prioritise tasks and with strong attention to detail
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
