Senior Construction Manager Opportunity
Ventia is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of our civil construction projects. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all site works are conducted efficiently and in accordance with our construction plans and delivery schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting daily pre-starts, construction walk-outs, planning, scoping, and activities to ensure that site works can be constructed efficiently
* Influencing work crews in a challenging construction environment by engaging, motivating, and mentoring
* Leading and managing internal and external crews advising their scope of works and ensuring all issues are dealt with promptly
* Liaising with designers and logistics teams to ensure materials and equipment are readily available ahead of construction activities
* Ensuring appropriate documentation included in the work pack for each job and that all Quality documentation / ITR's are completed to a high standard
* Ensuring that all works performed on site are carried out in accordance with relevant Ventia, Client standards and statutory requirements
* Liaising with works crews ensuring adequate resources are available, assist Scheduler with 2 & 4 week look ahead
* Assisting with reviews / lessons learnt of completed works
Requirements
* Previous experience supervising staff and contractors in the Civil Construction area
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, well organised, focused, and productive with the ability to complete tasks on time
* Previous experience working with Directional Drill, Rip & Plough and Open Trenching techniques
* Experience working in remote areas
* Highly customer-service focused and team-oriented
* Proficient at building strong and beneficial internal relationships
* Valid Driver's Licence (HR/MC advantageous)
* Current First Aid Qualification
