Description
Are you committed to bringing your best to life every day?
At Acenda, we draw on over 135 years of heritage to empower a brighter future with security and confidence.
Our values-driven business strives for high performance and growth as we look towards the future. As part of the global Nippon Life Group, we will enhance our capabilities and further strengthen our enduring commitment to putting customers at the heart of everything we do. And to support our partners to do the same.
We believe that when people have the support, clarity, and confidence they need, they can do their best work and build a future they're proud of. We encourage our people to take life on – inside and outside of work – to grow and make a real impact for our customers, partners, and each other.
The role
* The Business Development Manager is accountable for driving sustainable growth in retirement income solutions across Victoria, with a primary focus on lifetime and term annuities and broader retirement income propositions.
* The role leads state-based distribution outcomes through adviser activation, partner engagement, pipeline development, and conversion, while working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the proposition is effectively positioned, understood, and implemented in advice practices.
* This role is both strategic and hands-on, building market presence, influencing adviser behaviour, and converting opportunities into sales by supporting advisers through education-to-implementation cycles.
About you
* Demonstrated success in adviser‐facing distribution roles across wealth, retirement, investments, or insurance, with a strong track record of delivering sales growth and building enduring adviser relationships.
* Well‐developed commercial acumen, with disciplined capability across pipeline management, forecasting, adviser segmentation, and conversion.
* Confident in engaging advisers on retirement income strategies, including the ability to lead both one‐on‐one strategic discussions and group education or professional development sessions.
* RG146 compliant (or equivalent regulatory qualification), enabling the provision and discussion of retirement and investment solutions.
* Highly collaborative, with a proven ability to work effectively across product, marketing, operations, and risk teams to achieve shared outcomes.
