About the opportunity
This is a new and exciting opportunity to join Mercy Health as a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (MCCN) in our Gynaecology department. This role will form an important link of our Gynae-oncology team at Mercy assisting our patients in their cancer journey.
* The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (MCCN) will provide care, information and support for people with cancer across the continuity of care pathways and multidisciplinary teams within the cancer care community and the Health Service/demographic region.
* The MCCN will provide collaborative, clinical and supportive care for people and their families, along with the facilitation of communication across the multidisciplinary cancer care team.
* The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse will have expert knowledge regarding the spectrum of cancer care, inclusive of health assessment, treatment pathways, referrals, and on-going facilitation of clinical and supportive cancer care.

Additional qualifications and requirements include:
* Post Graduate qualifications in cancer nursing - oncology and/or palliative care
* AHPRA Nursing Registration Division 1
* Minimum of 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience as a registered nurse with at least 3 years recent full time equivalent experience in Oncology, Palliative Care or Cancer Stream specific Nursing.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
