This role is ideal for a chef who enjoys early starts, takes pride in a well-run service, and maintains high standards across food preparation, presentation, and cleanliness. As Breakfast Sous Chef, you'll be responsible for overseeing the breakfast shift, ensuring service runs smoothly and efficiently while supporting the Head Chef with team supervision, ordering, and stock control.THE ROLEAssist the Head Chef in the preparation, costing and design of all food menus.Supervision of kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef. Delegate duties and responsibilities to culinary team to ensure service demands are met.Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained by the entire culinary team to meet Health & Safety regulations and HACCP food preparation guidelines.Liaise with Food and Beverage team members regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes.Be available to assist guests with requests and handle all complaints promptly and efficiently as required, ensuring follow-up to determine the source of the complaint and resolution of the problem.THE REQUIREMENTSDemonstrated experience in a senior role leading a commercial or restaurant kitchenPrevious supervisory, leadership and training experienceSound computer literacy with experience using online ordering systems and Microsoft Office SuiteA strong working knowledge of HACCP and food handling requirementsPrevious exposure to high volume restaurants or event spacesAbility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidaysFull Australian Working RightsQualificationsCert IV Commercial Cookery
