Job details
The Passports IT Section within the Business Solutions Branch of DFAT's Information Management and Technology Division is seeking up to three experienced .NET Developers to support ongoing ICT projects.
The role requires strong experience across the Microsoft technology stack and modern cloud platforms.

Essential technical capabilities
* Strong Microsoft .NET full stack development experience
* Experience with Azure services including Functions, Logic Apps, PaaS SQL, API Manager, Service Bus and Entra ID
* Deployment experience using YAML pipelines
* Experience developing model-driven applications
* Strong understanding of secure application development aligned to least privilege principles and Cyber ISM
* Experience with modern reactive JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
* Experience establishing and managing repositories and building CI/CD pipelines
* Relevant Microsoft certifications are desirable.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Software Development
* Deliver full stack .NET development across multiple applications supporting the end-to-end passports technology stack
* Manage multiple high-priority work items concurrently
* Contribute to system design, software design and implementation activities
* Develop secure and scalable solutions using Microsoft and Azure technologies
Technical Leadership and Delivery
* Contribute within agile delivery teams and adapt to dynamic project environments
* Apply SFIA-aligned skills at Level 5 across Programming (PROG), Systems Design (DESN) and Software Design (SWDN)
* Provide leadership within ICT technical teams where required
* Support continuous improvement and delivery of measurable business outcomes
Communication and Collaboration
* Work effectively within multi-disciplinary agile teams
* Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
* Deliver outcomes under pressure while maintaining quality standards

Essential criteria

* Experience developing model-driven applications

* Demonstrated experience developing web applications using modern reactive JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
* Experience establishing and managing repositories and implementing CI/CD pipelines
