About the Opportunity
As a Senior Clinician, you will provide clinical leadership and direct therapeutic support to young people and their families. You will deliver evidence-based interventions, conduct complex risk assessments, and contribute to a recovery-oriented, youth-focused service. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will also support staff through supervision, training, and mentoring, ensuring high-quality care aligned with the Australian Early Psychosis Program (AEPP).
Key Selection Criteria
* Approved Tertiary Qualification: an approved tertiary qualification in a relevant allied health discipline and current membership with AHPRA, or membership of and adherence to the AASW standards for social workers.
* Postgraduate Qualifications: postgraduate qualifications in adolescent mental health or equivalent training preferred.
* Interpersonal and Mental Health Clinical Skills: demonstrated excellent interpersonal and mental health clinical skills in engagement, assessment, holistic treatment provision to young people and families presenting with a range of emotional, social, or developmental difficulties, including psychosis and alcohol and other drug difficulties.
* Mental Health Delivery Skills: demonstrated practice skills in the delivery of CBT for psychosis and other mental health difficulties and supervising staff to deliver therapeutic intervention within a mental health team.
* Cultural Competence: ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, their families, communities, staff, and Aboriginal controlled organisations.
