Event Coordinator Position
Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking an experienced and organized individual to fill the Event Coordinator position.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for event planning.
This role is responsible for managing venue bookings, ensuring spaces are set up and maintained, and providing support during events.
* Liaise with hirers to ensure smooth and safe use of Council facilities
* Oversee compliance and access to venues
* Manage equipment and inventory
* Support marketing efforts
* Prepare financial documentation
While experience in event or facility management is beneficial, it is not essential. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Current Police Clearance
* Valid Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
* Unrestricted P2 or above driver's licence
Benefits:
* Salary range: $77,500 - $86,000 per annum
* Yearly Leave: 15 days Personal (Sick) Leave, 13 RDOs, and 5 weeks Annual Leave
* Locality Allowance: $1,500 (single) - $3,000 (with dependants)
* Housing Assistance: Remote Area Housing Assistance per annum ($3,000 Renting/$4,500 Homeowner)
