Job Title:
Accounts Payable Officer is a crucial role in managing financial transactions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and checking purchase orders, ensuring all supplier invoices are tax compliant, and reconciling supplier statements.
This position requires excellent numeracy skills, fast and accurate data entry, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process and check purchase orders to match against supplier invoices
* Ensure all supplier invoices are tax compliant in accordance with ATO requirements
* Monitor and maintain the Accounts Payable inbox
* Reconcile supplier statements
* Manage approvals and refer queries back to the branch to ensure on-time payment of vendor invoices
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in high-volume accounts, including statement and invoice reconciliation
* Working knowledge of GST legislation
* Fast and accurate data entry skills
* Excellent numeracy skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a professional phone manner
* Experience with accounting software (advantageous)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
