Delivering Mental Health Support to Young People
Job Description
As a School Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with school staff and directly with students and families to provide targeted therapeutic interventions addressing mild to moderate mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct individual and group counselling sessions with students, parents, and families to address personal or relationship concerns.
* Provide guidance on diagnoses provided by external professionals and monitor students' progress.
* Administer specialized psycho-educational assessments of students with learning and/or adjustment difficulties, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, emotional, social, and adaptive functioning.
* Coordinate professional in-service training programs for teachers, parents, schools, and other professionals, focusing on supporting students' mental health and wellbeing.
