About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer to manage industrial customer accounts, provide technical advice, and coordinate end-to-end sales and product support activities.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering tailored solutions, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the growth of our national sales operations.
1. Develop and maintain relationships with industrial clients, providing expert advice on product selection and application.
2. Promote and sell conveyor belting, drive components, and other power transmission solutions.
3. Prepare quotations and process sales orders using internal business systems.
4. Conduct client visits, product demonstrations, and provide technical after-sales support.
5. Liaise with warehouse, purchasing, and workshop teams to ensure timely fulfilment and product availability.
6. Resolve product returns, service requests, and warranty issues professionally and efficiently.
7. Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and technical documentation.
8. Monitor market trends and support the development of territory-based sales strategies.

Requirements
1. A minimum of 1 year of experience in technical or industrial product sales (B2B), preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
2. Proficiency with business systems including ERP and CRM software.
3. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a focus on customer engagement.
4. Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into practical solutions.
5. Self-motivated, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
6. Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
