Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians - Day Shift to join our growing Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our site in Chullora, Sydney.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will keep our site running safely and efficiently. You will repair and maintain material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution machinery. Your quick response to breakdowns and implementation of preventative maintenance will minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
Working on-site allows you to respond quickly to machinery issues while identifying opportunities for long-term improvements. In this role, you will develop your technical skills and support the growth of junior team members.
This is a permanent day shift position working on a 4-day roster (10-hour shifts) and is entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Complete proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment
* Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment
* Implement long-term solutions to reduce future downtime
* Use specialized tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
* Follow and promote Health & Safety standards
What you'll bring:
* Formal Trade Qualification:
* Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license, OR
* Certificate III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, an equivalent trade qualification formally recognised in Australia.
* Demonstrated experience with preventative maintenance systems
* Proficiency in fault detection within Material Handling Equipment
* Technical ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulatory standards
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with computer maintenance systems (CMMS), sortation machines, maintaining/configuring bar code scanners or print and apply machine
