Academic Quality and Standards (AQS provides advice and support to Colleges and organisational areas of the University across a number of policy and procedural settings which relate to the Higher Education Standards Framework and the regulatory environment which applies to Vocational Education and Training. AQS has a wide role in the learning and teaching environment at VU, playing a significant role in academic governance through policy development, monitoring, and direct reporting to the Academic Board About the Role: The overall purpose of the Governance Officer is to support the Senior Coordinator Governance in the course governance processes within Victoria University TAFE. The role ensures that training products are registered internally and externally following governance and quality procedures. The role involves working with university systems and contributes to the review and improvement of those systems. You will liaise with internal stakeholders and contribute your expertise to support Victoria University TAFE. This is a full time position at a HEP 6, $88,691 - $96,001 classification plus 17% superannuation working 36.75 hours per week in a continuing role. An example of your responsibilities or duties you may perform will include: Maintain currency with updates and new releases of training packages and other VET training products Provide executive administrative support to Victoria University TAFE course governance committees, and act as a contact point for the Courses Committee of the Academic Board Provide factual and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders About You: A deep commitment to improving the outcomes and experience of TAFE students. Ability to research and present information to assist with decision making A working knowledge of compliance and quality obligations in the VET/TAFE space.
