About the Role
As a Draftsperson within our State Operations team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality construction drawings that meet customer expectations, developer guidelines, and regulatory standards, all while reflecting Burbank's commitment to design excellence. From initial site plans to final construction documentation, your work will directly support the creation of beautiful, functional homes across the state.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy, reflecting customer contracts, developer requirements, and Burbank standards.
* Produce detailed documentation including site plans, floor plans, elevations, internal layouts, sections, and compliance diagrams (e.g., shadowing and overlooking).
* Execute variations and updates to existing drawings.
* Conduct quality assurance checks on engineering drawings.
* Prepare final construction drawing sets for approval and build.
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma in Drafting, Design, or a related field.
* 2–3 years' experience in drafting within a volume home building environment.
* Proficiency in ArchiCAD is essential.
* Strong knowledge of NCC, Building Regulations, and relevant Australian Standards.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
* Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
* Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail.
* Customer-focused with a broad understanding of construction terminology and documentation.
