Overview Job Title: Enterprise Architect (Corporate Function/Corporate IT) Contract: Initial 12-month contract with possible extensions Location: Brisbane or Perth Job Summary: Our client, a globally leading mining and resources company delivering key commodities through advanced technical expertise, is seeking an Enterprise Architect to support their Core Corporate Function. This role focuses on capability-driven planning, defining current and target states, and developing strategies and roadmaps to guide transformation within the corporate function domain. The Enterprise Architect partners closely with the Domain Owner (Head of Architecture), offering architectural leadership, capability modelling, and alignment of investments to realise the domain’s future vision. Key Accountabilities Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with the Domain Owner to co-develop domain strategies, priorities, and roadmaps. Capability Modelling: Define and maintain current and target capability models aligned to business needs. Roadmaps & Strategy: Design, update, and communicate the domain’s strategic direction, technology roadmap, and transformation plans. Architecture Standards & Guardrails: Define and uphold domain-specific guardrails to standardise technologies, services, and architectural patterns. Portfolio Alignment: Shape and assure investments within the domain, ensuring alignment with the capability model, roadmap, and sequencing. Governance: Support governance forums by providing oversight for architecture practices across the core corporate function domain. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify and apply emerging technologies and practices to enhance domain capabilities and deliver business value. Strategic Collaboration: Acts as a trusted partner to the Domain Owner, advising on and executing domain strategies. Customer-Centricity: Designs solutions starting from business capability needs, rather than a technology-first approach. Influence & Communication: Effectively communicates strategy, guardrails, and roadmaps to a broad range of stakeholders. Competencies Architecture Expertise: Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, capability modelling, and portfolio shaping. Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of processes, governance, and investment models within the corporate function domain. Systems Thinking: Connects organisational, process, data, and technology layers into coherent architecture. Leadership & Facilitation: Strong facilitation and influencing skills to drive alignment with the Domain Owner and stakeholders.
