About the role
As a Field Service Technician - Truck and Trailer at QTK, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and installing refrigeration systems on truck and trailer units. We have full-time positions that would be based onsite at one of our customers' sites in Brisbane, providing you with the opportunity to work with a leading provider of commercial refrigeration solutions. If you enjoy being on customers' sites and working autonomously, then this role is for you. The role comes with a fully stocked company vehicle.
What you'll be doing
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs and installations of refrigeration units on trucks and trailers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration units, identifying and rectifying faults
- Install new refrigeration units and associated components on trucks and trailers
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all work undertaken
- Provide exceptional customer service and liaise with clients to understand their needs
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a field service technician or refrigeration technician in the transport industry, or working on trucks, or diesel engines, would be advantageous
- Someone working as a mechanic would suit this role as the units are diesel-run.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues
- A current driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites
- Commitment to safety and quality of work
