About the Department:
Join a dynamic, collegial team of five Infectious Diseases Physicians and Clinical Microbiologists, delivering comprehensive tertiary inpatient, consult, outpatient and Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) services. The unit is supported by two ID Advanced Trainees, two Microbiology Trainees, and junior registrars, fostering a rich teaching environment and cohesive clinical practice.
The case mix is broad and fascinating, with significant exposure to tropical infections such as melioidosis, Q fever, brucellosis and rickettsial diseases.
There are extensive opportunities for teaching and research, with strong affiliate links to the University and the Australian Institute of Tropical Health and Medicine (AITHM).
