About the role
Tailored 2U Support Services is growing and we are seeking passionate and caring Disability Support Workers to join our team. This is a casual role that will involve providing personalised support and assistance to clients with a range of disabilities, helping them to live independently and engage with their local community.
What you'll be doing
1. Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, community access and capacity building supports.
2. Supporting clients to access the community and participate in social and recreational activities
3. Providing emotional support and encouragement to help clients achieve their goals
4. Documenting client progress and communicating with the wider support team
5. Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols
What we're looking for
1. Support Workers with a genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and a commitment to empowering clients
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively
3. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think on your feet
4. A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle with full comprehensive insurance
5. A current First Aid certificate and a National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
6. WWCC (or willing to obtain)
7. NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
8. Willing to work in the following areas: Kurri Kurri, Cessnock, Maitland, Rutherford, Birmingham Gardens, Cameron Park
9. Willing to work short shifts 2-4 hours per shift - Monday to Saturday shifts available
