This is a permanent full-time opportunity to join the team as an Aeromedical Technician for our Mobile Patient Care program. Our team provides non-emergency patient transport services across Victoria and some areas of New South Wales.
About the Program
The Mobile Patient Care program involves transporting patients who require medical attention but do not have life-threatening conditions. We work with a large fleet of ambulances and support our transport services with RFDS aircraft.
About the Role
As an Aeromedical Technician, you will deliver high-quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity throughout their journey. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the efficient and effective transport of patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform patient assessment and intervention on-road
* Provide high-quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders
* Work collaboratively with other team members
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance), or Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic), or Bachelor of Nursing (with AHPRA registered nurse registration)
* Evidence of successful completion of required clinical placements and a Clinical Skills Assessment
* Availability to work 10 and 12-hour shifts across 7 days
* Ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions
