* 3-month fixed term contract until 29th August - immediate start available

We seek a dynamic and compassionate Physiotherapist with oncology experience for a fixed-term position. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through clinical expertise and compassionate care within a supportive healthcare environment.
The Department
The Alfred Cancer Program provides comprehensive cancer services across various clinical areas, including Medical Oncology, Clinical Haematology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Apheresis, State-wide Haemophilia Service, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, and the Victorian Melanoma Service. The program also includes diagnostic services, surgical, radiation, and oncology therapies, as well as the new Integrative Oncology Unit and Wellness Centre operational since 2024.
The Role
The Grade 2 Physiotherapist will deliver patient-centered supportive care to cancer patients at the Integrative Oncology Unit and Wellness Centre, based at the PFMCC outpatient setting. Responsibilities include developing and providing physiotherapy services and programs to support patient health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate physical health and exercise needs to support patient wellbeing.
* Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy treatment plans to manage symptoms, improve function, and enhance quality of life.
* Lead 1:1 and group exercise programs, including the “Stronger Together” program.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
* Provide education to patients and carers on physiotherapy benefits and active participation in treatment planning.
Requirements
* Registered physiotherapist in Victoria (AHPRA)
* Advanced knowledge of oncology/cancer physiotherapy practice
* Team player with ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
* Passion for improving patient health and wellbeing
