The Lane Group is a well-established, privately owned multi-franchise motor vehicle dealership proudly based in Mandurah. Known for our customer service and dedication to our work, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Group Parts Manager to join and lead our parts team to continued success.
About the role
The Group Parts Manager is responsible for the overall operation and performance of the parts department across all sites. This role ensures effective stock control, profitability, staff leadership and excellent customer service to both internal departments and external customers (retail and trade). The Group Parts Manager plays a critical role in supporting the dealership\'s service and sales functions, maintaining strong supplier relationships and achieving departmental targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily operations of the parts department across all vehicle franchises
* Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, including ordering, receiving and stock rotation
* Lead, train and mentor a team of parts interpreters
* Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed departmental budgets and KPIs
* Build strong relationships with suppliers, service department, trade clients and walk-in customers
* Ensure prompt, accurate and efficient processing of parts orders and returns
* Analyse inventory reports to minimise obsolescence and manage slow-moving stock
* Oversee stocktakes and ensure compliance with company and manufacturer procedures
* Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism across all interactions
* Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and operational guidelines
* Liaise with the service department to ensure parts availability and workflow efficiency
About you
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a senior parts role within the automotive industry
* Strong understanding of automotive parts, stock control and inventory management systems
* High-level computer literacy including dealership DMS
* Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Valid driver's licence (manual preferred)
* Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Results-driven mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach
* Ability to build long-term customer and team relationships
