In support of significant growth they are seeking to fill multiple product design roles:
Your role
* Develop detailed product designs that meet specification, function, safety and quality requirements
* Translate technical requirements and customer needs into practical engineering solutions
* Create and manage CAD models, drawings and design documentation, support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
* Apply value engineering principles to optimize cost performance and materials
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and internal quality systems
* Identify and implement design improvements based on testing, feedback and field performance
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, technologies and design trends
* Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and tools
About you
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or product design engineering – most likely mechanical
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in product design and development within a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) and design documentation tools
* Experience with prototyping, testing and validation of engineered products
* Understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM), value engineering, and cost optimization techniques
* Familiarity with relevant Australian industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality systems
* Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with teams such as manufacturing, quality, and product management
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to design challenges and product improvements
* Experience with materials selection, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design principles
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
