Your new role
As the Senior Building Designer, you'll lead the planning, coordination and documentation of building projects from early concept through to handover. Your role includes developing project charters, managing design requirements, preparing consultant briefs, producing and reviewing technical documentation, and providing expert advice on building design, compliance, services and engineering matters.
You'll work closely with stakeholders, guide external consultants, and support the project delivery team to ensure design intent is maintained through construction. This is a role with real influence across building design, project planning and technical decision‑making
What you'll need to succeed
You'll bring a tertiary qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline, along with strong experience in building design and construction. Your background includes managing multidisciplinary consultants, preparing technical reports, and producing clear, compliant and well‑coordinated design documentation.
You'll need excellent communication skills, solid judgement, the ability to manage multiple projects, and confidence to explain technical issues to a wide range of stakeholders. Experience in sustainability, universal design or heritage conservation is a bonus.
