About the Opportunity

This is a rewarding opportunity to join the Infrastructure and Sustainability Directorate as a Project Support Officer on a fixed-term 12 month contract with the possibility of extension. In this role, you will provide essential administrative, financial processing, and record-keeping support to help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with organisational procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Certificate III (or higher) in Business Administration, or equivalent skills and experience gained in a similar role.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to prepare a range of correspondence and engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring work is completed to a consistently high standard.
SafeWork NSW Construction Induction (White Card)
Current and maintained NSW Drivers Licence

It will be highly desirable if you possess any of the following:

Minimum two (2) years work experience in an administrative or project role
Experience in financial or procurement systems
Knowledge of the role, functions and responsibilities of Local Government

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Parkes Shire Council's policies and conditions of employment.

The role has been evaluated as being within Grade 8 of Council's salary structure with a commencing salary of $64,662.67 per annum. The commencing salary to be determined upon the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful candidate and also includes super and salary packaging options to increase your take-home pay.
