We are looking for a Qualified Chef to join the team
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering catering services across a range of events, including weddings, corporate events, and smaller private functions.
The role requires a high standard of food preparation, professionalism, and operational support before, during, and after events.
This is a full-time ongoing position based in Prospect, SA.
Main tasks : -Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the standards set by Chopping Board Catering -Completing food preparation and prep work prior to events -Managing and carrying out wedding cleans, including post-event kitchen, equipment, and workspace cleaning -Assisting in the execution of menus for corporate events, weddings, and smaller functions -Supporting on-site catering operations during events as required -Ensuring compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations -Maintaining clean, organised, and safe kitchen and prep areas -Assisting with event setup and pack-down when required -Working collaboratively with the business owner and catering team to ensure smooth delivery of events Required/Relevant Qualifications Work Experience : -Minimum of Diploma plus minimum 1 year' relevant work experience in the last 5 years.
-3 years' relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification.
Required/Relevant Skills Knowledge : -Perform all duties with professionalism and care -Be reliable and flexible, including availability for weekends, evenings, and peak event periods -Represent Chopping Board Catering positively at all times -Carry out duties as reasonably directed to support the needs of the business -Demonstrated experience in catering and event-based food service -Sound knowledge of food safety standards and best practices Annual salary will be between $76,****** to $86,****** (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
