Payroll Manager

This will be a **permanent, full-time **position based in the **Sydney **office, with flexibility to work from home.
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop, implement, forecast, and drive the strategic direction, performance, and sustainability of the payroll function.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll. Review of fortnightly pay and preparation of statutory and reporting requirements.
- Ensure that data is managed in a timely and accurate manner across various systems (e.g. Aurion and Workday).
- Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, pay increases) and system upgrades (e.g. Aurion and Workday).
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, state, and national statutory compliances, wage and hour laws, and tax requirements.
- Work with various internal stakeholders to handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve any issues or errors promptly. Partner with the HR ops team to ensure payroll data flows seamlessly between HR Ops, Payroll, and Finance teams.
**ABOUT YOU**
- More than 5+ years demonstrated experience in a Payroll Manager or similar role, working within a fast-paced business environment.
- Experience of the payroll software, Aurion.
- Excellent understanding of payroll legislative requirements (awards, Payroll tax, Superannuation, PAYG and Workers Compensation).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
- Exceptional communication, people and customer service skills.
