The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Fibre Technicians to join our construction teams on major mining and resources projects. This is a unique chance to contribute directly to the digitalisation and connectivity transformation of Australia's resources sector, working on critical infrastructure that includes fibre optic backbone networks, instrumentation cabling, SCADA and control system connectivity, and communications upgrades across active mine sites. These are full‐time FIFO positions offering long‐term opportunities.
Roster & Location
* FIFO from Perth to the Pilbara
* 2:1 roster
* Flights from all major cities in Australia
Key Responsibilities
* Fibre optic splicing and termination on large‐scale mining and resources infrastructure projects.
* OTDR testing, fault finding, and commissioning of fibre optic networks.
* Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Support project delivery across multiple site communications and instrumentation initiatives.
* Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and construction teams.
Qualifications & Experience
* Fibre optic splicing certification (essential).
* OTDR testing and commissioning experience (essential).
* Current Driver's Licence.
* Construction White Card.
* Working at Heights certification.
* LVR/CPR & current First Aid Certificate.
* High Risk Licence (EWP).
* Previous FIFO experience (preferred).
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
* Two contactable work‐related references.
