East Coast Support Solutions is a registered NDIS provider based in Mayfield West. We are seeking dedicated, reliable Support Workers who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred Mental Health and Disability supports across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Maitland.
To meet specific participant preferences and needs, we are currently seeking: 3 Mental Health Support Workers: 2 Female 1 Male (23 years plus). Female applicants must be comfortable and adept at providing personal care, hold Manual Handling certification, and be available for inactive night shifts when required. Male applicants need to be active and engaging. Suitable applicants may also be retained in our talent pool for future opportunities. Recruitment will occur progressively as applicants are interviewed. You must be prepared to travel to Medowie, West Wallsent, Bellbird, Rutherford, Singleton and surrounds.
What You Will Bring to the Role
* Minimum 12 months experience in a support role, ideally with mental health experience
* Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or related qualification
* Demonstrated knowledge of issues affecting people with disability
* Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours across all age groups
* Must be prepared to provide personal care supports (female applicants only)
* Proactive, reliable, and able to work autonomously
* Strong person-centred practice
* Accurate reporting and incident documentation skills
* Ability to engage respectfully and safely with participants
* Professional or lived experience with disability (advantageous)
* Ongoing availability to work within a 24/7 rotating roster, including inactive night shifts as needed.
* Willingness to travel as required
* Experience with trauma, drug and alcohol impacts, and mental health concerns
* Experience supporting Aboriginal participants and understanding associated cultural needs
* Diabetes training

Remuneration
Paid in accordance with the SCHADS Award, based on skills and experience.
