The Hotel Orange is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. We are looking for someone with proven experience in both fine dining and pub-style food, who can bring creativity, consistency, and leadership to our culinary operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and cook high-quality meals across fine dining and pub-style menus.
- Ensure all dishes are presented with excellent quality, taste, and consistency.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards.
- Develop and design seasonal menus and specials in consultation with management.
- Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise wastage.
- Work collaboratively with management to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management (essential).
- Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience as a Chef.
- Demonstrated experience in both fine dining and pub-style kitchens.
- Strong leadership, time management, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
