Overview
Wodonga RSL is seeking a Casual Qualified Chef/Cook to deliver quality service for our members. If you're passionate, organised, with an eye for detail, and looking for additional work to top up the bank balance, then this is for you.
Currently, on offer is 1 NIGHT PER WEEK (Friday) to support our Head Chef to prep and deliver our main dinner service for our members and guests.
There is also potential for additional work within our events/function space, with new bookings always flowing through that require extra support.
Kitchen is open from 5:30pm-8pm so no late nights. Generally a 3-5 hour shift is required.
RSL juniors are on hand to assist in kitchen duties.
Offering Level 4 award wages for the right candidate. $35.15 per hour (includes 25% loading), plus super.
Responsibilities
* Assist in prep and delivery of main dinner service for members and guests.
* Support Head Chef with kitchen duties and food preparation.
* Provide additional support for events and functions as bookings arise.
* Ensure efficient operation within the kitchen during shift hours (5:30pm–8:00pm).
* Collaborate with RSL juniors assisting in kitchen duties as needed.
Qualifications
* Casual Qualified Chef/Cook.
* Right to work in Australia.
* Relevant chef/cook experience; number of years as a chef.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Current Working With Children (WWC) Check (if applicable).
* Sound understanding of OH&S/WHS.
