Job Description
We are seeking 5 casual nursery hands to work at our commercial vegetable seedling nursery in Tynong VIC. Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week across a 7-day roster, have good communication skills, have a strong work ethic, be physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions. Work is expected to commence in April / May and continue for 9 months periods. Key responsibilities/duties will include:
* Maintaining nursery plants – watering, drenching, treating and moving seedlings within the nursery;
* Loading and unloading seedling trays;
* Keeping yard in a tidy and organised manner;
* Tray laying; tray washing and steaming;
* Washing of trucks, tractors and equipment where required; and
* Other general labouring, as required.
On the job training will be provided. Successful candidates will be employed in accordance with the Nursery Award 2020. Pay rate is $31.19 per hour. Please note: only successful applicants will be contacted.
