Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Payroll Officer to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role is all about maintaining the smooth operation of our payroll processes while giving the team space to focus on process improvements and new ways of working.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing end-to-end payroll processing using Chris21 software
• Onboarding new starters and processing employee terminations
• Monitoring and responding to queries in the payroll inbox
• Ensuring compliance with awards, agreements, and legislation
• Supporting the team during periods of leave
• Enabling process improvements by taking on key operational tasks
About You:
You will need to have hands-on experience with Chris21 (essential), previous payroll experience in a medium to large organisation, and high attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Additionally, you should be able to interpret and apply awards, agreements, and legislation, and possess excellent communication and customer service skills – approachable and responsive.
