**How will I help?**
The Technical Data Support role within the Mainframe Infrastructure Services team is required to offer assistance to Westpac's complex software environment.
The role plays an important part in the management of software and support, development of financial billing models and understanding usage and capacity in the server environment.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Undertake financial analysis, costing and forecasting for the mainframe environment and manage against agreed billing models and defined commercial structures.
- Provide active support and expertise in the formulation of Infrastructure patterns and standards, for effective strategy and lifecycle planning.
- Evaluate and provide expert recommendations for process improvements, in close collaboration with partners, vendors and third-party suppliers, to ensure continuous service innovation and improvement.
- Support assessment of financial impact of risks and reporting by providing key technical insights.
- Proactively establish, engage, and maintain a "One Team" mindset with partners, vendors, and third-party suppliers to deliver the best outcomes for the bank.
- Produce Statement of Capacity reports on Key Supplier software ensuring utilisation is within contractual parameters.

**What do I need?**
To be successful in this role, you need to have the following skills, education & personal attributes:
- 5+ years relevant IT industry experience with at least two years in a highly technical role.
- Advanced data analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills.
- Experience in a complex IT infrastructure environment which may include incorporating planning, implementation, operational management, configuration, and maintenance.
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant technical certifications desirable.
