The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Process Plant Operator
to join our Darwin team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our processing plant, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards. You will play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and contributing to our mission of sustainable resource recovery.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor plant equipment and processes to maintain safe and efficient production.
* Conduct routine inspections, maintenance checks, and troubleshooting of machinery.
* Maintain accurate production, operational, and maintenance records.
* Adhere to workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
* Work collaboratively with team members to optimize plant performance and efficiency.
* Assist with process improvements and reporting on operational performance.
Requirements:
* PMA30120 Certificate III in Process Plant Operations (highly desirable)
* Proven experience as a Process Plant Operator, preferably in waste management, recycling, or a similar industrial environment.
* Current Working at Heights, Confined Space, and Forklift tickets are highly sought after.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate plant machinery safely.
* Sound understanding of WHS regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
* Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
* Experience with automated plant systems and process control software.
