The role of Auxiliary Firefighter is a critical component of emergency response in our community. In this position, you will be part of a team responsible for responding to fire and other emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities.
As an Auxiliary Firefighter, your key accountabilities will include:
* Responding to fire and other emergency incidents in a safe and effective manner.
* Promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities.
* Developing and maintaining competencies by actively participating in regular drills and training courses provided by the organization.
* Maintaining the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
* Operating specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.
* Contributing to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities.
* Ensuring maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities.
* Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration as required.
