This role is a unique hybrid of account management, project leadership, and technical delivery. The successful candidate will own customer relationships across the APAC region while also overseeing and executing advanced technology implementations. They will provide end-to-end leadership on Spindle engagements, ensuring operational excellence, technical accuracy, and strategic impact for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Account Management
* Act as the primary relationship manager for corporate customers across the APAC region, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and growth.
* Represent Dober/Spindle's technical and equipment capabilities to customers and industry stakeholders, building strong alliances with regional engineering and production teams.
* Provide consultative expertise to clients, aligning Spindle's solutions with business objectives, operational needs, and regional requirements.
* Serve as a trusted advisor, balancing commercial account ownership with technical leadership to drive customer success and loyalty.
* Project Management & Technical Delivery
* Lead the execution of complex customer projects, serving as project owner from initial survey to commissioning.
* Provide technical oversight for hardware and software integrations, including PLC connectivity, instrumentation, and data collection systems.
* Oversee equipment specification, wiring schema, installation, testing, and calibration, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project milestones and budgets.
* Conduct on-site field surveys, capturing infrastructure, connectivity, and operational processes, and develop detailed technical documentation and implementation roadmaps.
* Deliver customer training and knowledge transfer sessions, ensuring long-term adoption of Spindle technologies.
* Engineering Support & Innovation
* Assist in the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects across Dober divisions, including liquid feed systems and ancillary equipment.
* Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for assigned accounts, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.
* Contribute to innovation by identifying and testing new instrumentation, technologies, and methods to continuously improve customer outcomes.
* Participate in technology assessments, lifecycle analysis, and cost/benefit evaluations to inform future product development and strategic direction.
* Required Expertise
* Proven experience managing key corporate accounts and delivering technology solutions in industrial or manufacturing environments.
* Strong background in engineering, automation, or information technology, with demonstrated experience in PLC connectivity, industrial instrumentation, and network infrastructure.
* Advanced project management expertise with a track record of delivering large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects across international geographies.
* High-level interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, from technicians to executive leadership.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-mitigation abilities with precision in execution and reporting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering/project management tools.
* Qualifications & Attributes
* Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 80% of the time.
* Background in engineering, electrical systems, or IT (formal degree or equivalent professional experience).
* Strong commercial acumen combined with technical depth, enabling both relationship management and solution delivery.
