As the organisation continues to grow, they are seeking multiple Senior Procurement and Commercial Specialists to join their expanding team. These permanent roles offer a highly competitive salary package between $180K – $220K, with opportunities to work on some of Australia's most significant Defence and government programs.
Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced procurement and commercial professionals to play a key role in shaping and delivering strategic procurement, contracting, and commercial advisory services to government clients. You will work closely with stakeholders across Defence, CASG, DFAT, and Intelligence agencies to navigate complex procurement environments and ensure best-practice contract and commercial management.
Responsibilities
* Leading and managing complex procurement and contracting processes, ensuring compliance with government and Defence frameworks
* Developing and implementing procurement strategies, from market engagement through to contract negotiation and execution
* Providing commercial advice and risk management strategies to enhance procurement and contract outcomes
* Engaging with senior government and Defence stakeholders, building strong relationships to drive effective procurement and commercial decisions
* Supporting capability uplift within government procurement teams by providing expert guidance on procurement, contracting, and supplier engagement
About You
* Proven experience in procurement, commercial management, or contract management within Defence, CASG, DFAT, or the Intelligence portfolio
* An active NV1 security clearance (or higher) – Essential
* A strong understanding of government procurement frameworks, contract negotiation, and risk management
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships and provide strategic commercial advice
* A relevant tertiary qualification in procurement, law, commerce, business, or a related discipline
* Consulting experience (desirable but not essential) – those with prior experience in an advisory capacity will be highly regarded
