Job Opportunity: Aboriginal Private Rental Assistance Program Plus Worker
This role presents an exceptional chance to make a significant impact on the local community.
* Maintenance of Full-Time, Fixed Term employment for up to 3 years
* Access to comprehensive salary packaging benefits
The Role
Aboriginal Private Rental Assistance Program (APRAP) Plus Workers will be part of the Family Services Team within Homelessness Programs. They will provide outreach services to households living in or transitioning into private rental tenancies. Working alongside APRAP brokers, these professionals will offer additional support to households to establish and maintain their housing.
The main objective of APRAP Plus is multifaceted:
* Time-limited outreach assistance to foster stable tenancies
* Addressing factors contributing to potential tenancy breakdown
* Achieving desired outcomes leading to successful, long-lasting private rental tenancies
* Reducing preventable exits from private rental housing
APRAP Plus primarily involves community-based work with clients. It functions in tandem with the Private Rental Broker but is not an office-centric role, nor does it assist communities already supported by other housing initiatives.
