Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic and pragmatic advice to clients on a range of employment law and workplace safety matters.
* Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders.
* Handle employment disputes and litigation.
* Provide support for transactional matters, including outsourcing.
* Draft employer responses to legal claims and letters of demand.
* Policy and contract reviews.
Requirements:
* 5+ PQE working in Australia.
* Strong knowledge of Australian Employment Laws and the Fair Work Act.
* Awareness of new or pending federal and state legislation, rules and regulations and industry developments and trends.
* Experience working independently and cross-functionally.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
* Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
