The Opportunity
Exclusive opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our production team. You will be working on day shift Monday to Friday (6am – 2pm) with occasional cover for the 4 days on and 4 off (6am – 6pm).
Your role is responsible for providing effective support in the preventative maintenance and repair of the production line, ensuring the achievement of factory production targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Fitter will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for:
* Carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory.
* Ensuring all relevant procedures & safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence.
* Experience with any of the following would be highly advantageous: welding (MIG, TIG),
* Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory.
* Adhere to safe work practices and take steps to identify hazards and report incidents
Skills & Qualifications
* Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
* Good communication skills both verbal and written
* A hands-on attitude, problem-solving skills, mature thinking with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a supportive team
