Calling Casual Educators! Catholic Early EdCare is seeking passionate and adaptable Casual OSHC Educators to join our team, working across four services in the Fraser Coast/Hervey Bay region. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience across a variety of service styles, sizes, and approaches—enhancing knowledge, skills, and confidence under the guidance of our highly qualified Coordinators. Candidates who can travel between OSHC locations within the Fraser Coast region are valued. For the right candidate, there is potential to step into a Responsible Person in Charge role, providing an opportunity to further develop leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Providing nurturing care for children
- Ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming setting
- Creating fun recreational and educational experiences that are inclusive for all
- Maintaining positive working relationships with all team members
- Working collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
- Opportunity to attend fun excursions during vacation care
- Feel excited to come to work to make a difference to the lives of children in our care
Job Requirements
- A Diploma, Cert III in Children's Services or equivalent qualification (or working towards) is desirable, along with a willingness to continue learning and growing
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
- Effective workplace communication skills
