About the Role
The Senior Geologist Resource Definition is responsible for leading a team of geologists on diverse geological projects. You will be involved in resource definition and exploration, with over 50 deposit styles, and have a healthy budget to achieve goals.
You will lead a team of seven geologists, mentoring and supervising daily activities and ensuring their technical development needs are met. Key responsibilities include:
* Being actively involved in the site strategy, considering drill priorities and budget.
* Managing the integration of geological data from drilling activities and external sources into the site database.
* Compiling and integrating geological data, studies, technical data and consultant reports to develop robust geological interpretations and estimations.
* Inputting into resource updates and Mineral Resource reporting requirements.
* Overseeing the management of Mungari tenements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
* Making recommendations for future work, collaborating and facilitating group project reviews and planning.
About You
This role presents an opportunity for a tertiary qualified and motivated Geologist to join our operation that fosters development. You should have:
* A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology.
* Minimum 6+ years' experience across exploration and production.
* Minimum of 5+ years gold experience.
* Experience working at a senior level mentoring other Geologists.
* Understanding of economic ore deposits, geochemistry & structural geology.
* Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
* Advanced understanding of geological interpretation and current 3D modelling techniques, block modelling and QAQC protocols.
* Highly developed problem identification and solution conceptualisation.
* Experience using Datamine and Leapfrog.
