We're currently looking for an Assistant Cost Planner to join our team in Perth and support our Principal Cost Planner to prepare accurate and timely cost plans, as well as work closely with our design and project teams to ensure that our projects are commercially sound and aligned with Lendlease standards.
This role is perfect for someone early in their career who wants to grow within a recognised industry leader and gain exposure to landmark projects in WA.
Your duties may include:
* Assist in preparing cost plans, estimates, and feasibility studies.
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and design information to support cost assessments.
* Compile and maintain cost databases, benchmarking, and market pricing.
* Support value engineering initiatives and design optimisation reviews.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and external consultants.
* Assist in risk and opportunity analysis throughout pre‐construction phases.
* Contribute to tender and procurement documentation where required.
Desired experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
* High attention to detail with an ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced cost planning professionals.
* Basic understanding of construction methodologies and cost drivers (advantageous).
* Familiarity with construction estimating software or Excel (advantageous but not essential).
