Contract opportunity for a Mechanic experienced in the heavy industry to work with a leading power provider in Darwin. The organisation is highly reputable and offers excellent pay.
* $69 - $89 per hour + Super + Allowances

* Darwin location, dayshift roster 5 on 4 off / 7 on 5 off

Role Responsibilities
* Conduct on-the-ground operations work, including routine plant inspections, minor equipment isolations, equipment lubrication, routine tests and identification, investigation and where possible, rectification of plant defects.
* Support operational, technical, and shutdown maintenance tasks.
Key Requirements
* AQF Cert III (Trade) Mechanical qualification or equivalent experience.
* Strong fault-finding skills with high-quality defect reporting.
* Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
* Ability to work within a Permit to Work system and collaborate with operational staff.
* Competent in computer systems and reporting.
* Driver's licence
Desirable / nice to have
:
* Experience in large-scale heavy industry.
* Knowledge of Industrial Gas Turbines, ideally in power generation.
