About the role
The Adviser – Wellbeing, Health and Safety plays a key role in fostering a safe, healthy and supportive workplace culture at Australian Red Cross, with responsibility for both WHS and physical security. This role supports the delivery of WHS projects and initiatives that improve safety outcomes, reduce risk and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across a large, diverse and complex organisation.
Working closely with leaders, teams and WHS committees, you will provide practical advice, support risk management and incident response, contribute to training and capability uplift, and use data and insights to drive continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the wellbeing and safety of Red Cross people while supporting a strong, organisation wide culture of safety and accountability.
About you
The successful candidate will bring experience providing WHS internal consultancy and implementing WHS systems in a complex organisation with a diverse risk profile.
You’ll also bring:
* Strong customer service and influencing skills
* Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective communications and working relationships with a range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
* Ability to communicate clearly on sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
* Strong organisational and time management ability
* Excellent records management and general office administration skills
* Understanding of Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel and AI C-pilot
Role Requirements
* National Police Check and renewal every 5 years
* Driver Licence
* Ability to undertake occasional local or interstate travel (approx. 10 – 20 days per year) to review Australian Red Cross Retail Shop and Program activities

Further information
This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary from $75,830.98 (based on 0.8 FTE) + superannuation + salary packaging options.
