Asset Management and Property Information Specialist

The Climate Action and Property Data Branch is responsible for the Government's policy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2030.


About the Role

In this position, you will lead a team that manages the operational activities of the Property Information and System Administration section.

* Manage the daily operations and administration of the Australian Government Property Register supported by a third party.
* Lead a team responsible for:
o providing accurate and timely reporting to support decision-making.
o developing dashboards, creating data models, and conducting analyses as needed.
o assisting in the redesign of the Australian Government Office Occupancy Report.
o identifying new information sources and negotiating access to relevant information sets across the Division and industry.
o developing business cases for systems and tools to improve operational activities.
o engaging with stakeholders in the development, implementation, and validation of asset management and financial information processes.
o supporting continuous improvement activities in asset management practices.
o assisting in the management of financial and asset management information for budget submissions.

This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day activities of the Property Information and System Administration team.

Team Leadership: Lead a team responsible for providing accurate and timely reporting, developing dashboards, and conducting analyses.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders in the development, implementation, and validation of asset management and financial information processes.

Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement activities in asset management practices.

* Experience in asset management and property information systems.
* Knowledge of business intelligence tools and data analysis techniques.
