A major enterprise technology program is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Test Lead to drive quality assurance across a complex infrastructure delivery initiative.
This is not an application testing role.
I'm specifically seeking a testing professional with strong ICT infrastructure experience, particularly across End User Compute, networking and telephony environments.
You will play a key role in delivering a large-scale infrastructure program responsible for supporting the technology platforms required for a major state‐wide operational event. The environment includes Device as a Service platforms, enterprise networking, mobile devices and telephony infrastructure.
Working within the Infrastructure & Operations project team, you will lead testing activities across multiple infrastructure technology streams and coordinate testing across vendors, engineering teams and business stakeholders.
The Role
As the Infrastructure Test Lead, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing testing activities across enterprise infrastructure platforms to ensure solutions meet operational and business requirements.
You will work closely with project managers, infrastructure engineers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure infrastructure platforms are delivered with a strong focus on quality and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, development and coordination of infrastructure testing activities
* Develop test strategies, test plans and test cases
* Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
* Coordinate testing across multiple technology streams including End User Compute, networking and telephony
* Manage testing dependencies across project streams and technologies
* Monitor test progress and produce test reporting and status updates
* Analyse test results and manage defect identification, triage and resolution
* Provide guidance on test estimation, task sizing and testing frameworks
* Engage stakeholders and provide advice on testing lifecycle processes
* Provide quality assurance across testing performed by vendors, ICT teams and suppliers
Essential Experience
To be successful in this role you must have strong experience testing ICT infrastructure environments, not just software applications.
You will bring:
* Proven experience as a Test Lead within ICT Infrastructure environments
* Strong understanding of Infrastructure & Operations environments
* Experience across End User Compute platforms
* Experience working with networking and telephony infrastructure
* Demonstrated experience across the full test lifecycle
* Experience implementing testing frameworks in Waterfall or Hybrid delivery environments
* Experience coordinating organisation‐wide testing and UAT
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Experience working with vendors and external suppliers
* Experience with JIRA and Zephyr testing tools

Additional Requirements
* Ability to obtain a satisfactory criminal record check
* Must maintain strict political neutrality
* Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science or relevant testing certifications highly regarded
* Full working rights in Australia required
