Clarity Communications
Posted: 13 January
Offer description

We are looking to appoint an Associate Director – Communications to our team of communications consultants, providing strategic consulting advice and expertise to clients across sectors such as mining, energy and property.

You'll lead complex, high-impact work for some of WA's most interesting organisations across communications, stakeholder engagement and strategy. It's the quality and variety of work and the opportunity to collaborate with our exceptional team who enjoy working together that sets Clarity apart.

We're looking for a strategic thinker who can set direction, build trusted client relationships, and deliver work of an excellent standard, working with a dedicated, talented team.

The Opportunity

At Clarity Communications, we partner with a diverse range of clients, shaping reputations and driving business growth through our unique combination of strategic communications, corporate affairs, ASX reporting, marketing and corporate identity and design.

We help shape and build the reputations of some of WA's largest organisations, playing a key role in their success.

You will provide expert advice to your clients, designing bespoke communication strategies and advising them on all aspects of tactical communications and profile building that impacts business reputation and market positioning. This might include managing media relations, stakeholder and government engagement, crisis communications and issues management, however we are interested in hearing from anyone with aligned skillsets and experience.

If you enjoy working across a diverse portfolio of clients and projects, can provide high-level, strategic reputational advice to senior leaders, and work closely with our team of motivated, high-performing communications professionals, we would love to hear from you.

What you'll do

• Take briefs from clients, clarify the problem to be solved, scope work, and deliver to agreed objectives, timelines and budgets.

• Lead best-practice communications and engagement strategies for projects across government, infrastructure, transport, property and community contexts.

• Map stakeholders, plan engagement, facilitate engagement, and build constructive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders depending on the project at hand.

• Coordination of media relations, proactive media/brand opportunities, and issues management.

• Create high-quality content in the form of media releases, speeches, briefings, fact sheets, digital content, letters and reports.

• Manage and monitor project progress.

• Mentor other consultants within the team, providing clear briefs and constructive feedback, supporting their professional development.

About you

• You have 10+ years experience in communications and/or stakeholder engagement (agency or in-house), with demonstrated success delivering complex programs in WA.

• Outcomes-focused with an ability to simplify complexity for communication to stakeholders.

• You're a natural problem solver and you enjoy thinking outside the box to come up with creative solutions to complex and unique communication challenges.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a sharp eye for clarity, tone and purpose.

• You're happy to work both independently and within a team environment where you can support and collaborate with colleagues at all levels and share your knowledge, expertise and ideas.

• You're confident in managing project budgets and taking on responsibility for the tracking of performance against targets.

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or a related discipline — or equivalent experience.

• IAP2 training/certification and/or formal engagement qualifications will be viewed favourably but are not essential.
